My school is looking over our French/Spanish program and I am looking for more information on various models for how to set up a duel language program. Does anyone have experience with a duel language program in an elementary school?
How was it organized? Did students take both languages or choose? What did you think of the program? If you could design your own from scratch how would you have preferred it to be? If students took both, did they alternate or take both at the same time? If they alternated, was there a lot of lose between times with a certain language? If they took both at the same time was it confusing? If they chose, was there a lot of inequality in class numbers?
