I am a professor of geography and lived in Spain for seven years and am the
author of a best-selling English language guide to the country and its
culture, geography, traditions, literature, history, music, religious life,
regional distinctiveness, sports, language, social and political issues,
food and drink with a chapter on wines and cheeses. This book is the only
one REQUIRED by the University of California's summer program in Spanish
Civilization (Spanish 45) in Madrid. It was published by Santana, the
largest publisher of English language books in Spain and went through two
editions. Due to the bankruptcy of the distributor in the United States, I
acquired possession of the remaining stock in the United States of close to
100 copies. I believe that such a book, if offered for sale by you would be
a stimulus for tourist visits, an appreciation of Spanish culture. The book
is beautifully illustration with more than 40 color photographs on high
quality glossy paper and was favorable reviewed numerous times in the
English and Spanish language press in Spain. I could make my copies
available to your class, department at a cost of $10 per book plus postage
thus enabling you to sell them at more than double that. The book is a
highly readable account with cultural information that any long term visitor
would appreciate in being able to relate to the topics of importance for
Spaniards. You can pay by check, cash or paypal. Please contact me at
