Crimson Canary: Authentic flamenco music for your school
Syracuse-based guitarist David Chu and vocalist Lonnie Chu have been bringing authentic flamenco music to audiences from Buffalo to the Berkshires for the past six years. They have often performed in classrooms, school auditoriums and libraries, and would love to play at your school.
Lonnie is an adjunct professor of Spanish who is happy to supply you with materials for the classroom in advance of the performance and to teach your students how to do palmas (rhythmic hand-clapping) during the performance. The focus is on lyrics and music as well as on the history of flamenco and its current popularity the world over.
They can also include songs in French, Italian and/or Portuguese if desired.
Please see the Crimson Canary website for more information and use the contact form to get in touch. Crimson Canary is also on Facebook!
